Famous Last Words - gillian mccallister

I got this book early through Book of the Month and I ended up loving it!! Soooo much more than I expected to. I felt a real connection to Cam, the way she loves her husband, her insecurities, her anxieties. While I couldn't relate in all areas, she felt like a friend I cared a lot about. I give this book 4.5/5 stars, only because some of the side plot I didn't feel was completely necessary and kind of took away from the book. But thinking about it now, it may have been strategically done that way so the plot didn't feel as heavy, with us constantly thinking "who done it", if that makes sense. The pacing was pretty good in this novel, with a majority of it flowing well despite a couple of scenes. I definitely had my theories throughout, one big one being true, but not knowing how it came into play until the very end. I was definitely hooked about 1/3-1/2 way through and finished it within the same day. If you are looking for a suspenseful mystery novel with beautifully written characters and narratives, this one is for you!
